The
Rebirth
Although our bodies
lay dead
Still from our
wounds flowed our life blood
The seed that shall eventually
grow
Keeping our memories
alive
For our deaths shall
not be in vain
We may not have
embraced and practiced
The religious
beliefs and system that we inherited
Still we were
slaughtered
In the name of
religion for our beliefs
Never to be
immortalized as martyrs
But out of our
spilled blood shall come
Our rebirth
The true believers
in religion
And when you have
killed
Until your strength
is all spent
You shall not
prevail
For they shall eventually
conquer
Not through
intimidation and violence
But through love and
persistence
Spreading the very
beliefs you fear
Converting your own
By demonstrating the
difference in beliefs
Through our death
shall be our rebirth
Fighting a battle
with an alternative
To violence
Our bodies may be
dead
But our memory and
blood shall live on
In our rebirth
